THE STORY

This painting captures a vibrant, bustling moment at Blanchflower Café in Sale, a local favourite of mine. Composed from four different reference photos taken on the same day, it brings together the energy of the café — from the chefs in action behind the counter to the quiet conversations over coffee. I wanted to convey the warmth of the light, the glow from the signature lamps, and the sense of connection among the people gathered there. It’s a snapshot of everyday life, full of character and atmosphere.
