A little secret I’ve been keeping…
Back in June 2025, I received a phone call telling me I’d been selected from over 2,000 applicants to be a main pod contestant on the next series of Landscape Artist of the Year 2026. Typing this still feels a little unreal.
It turned out to be one of the most surreal, joyful (and quietly nerve-wracking) days of my painting life — made all the more special by meeting the brilliant judges Tai-Shan Schierenberg, Kathleen Soriano and Eva Langret, alongside the ever-charming Stephen Mangan.
Huge thanks to the production team for creating such a calm, supportive atmosphere throughout — it truly was a privilege to be part of.
I won’t be giving anything away just yet, but the new series airs in early 2026… and yes, I’ll be watching with my fingers firmly crossed.

Part of my ongoing series celebrating the beauty of everyday moments in Manchester, HOME, MCR captures the warmth, energy and reflections of an evening outside of HOME, on first street - capturing the buzz and atmosphere through bold colour and expressive brushwork.
Please note: This original will be exhibited at Manchester Art Fair in November. If you'd like to reserve it before the exhibition, you're very welcome to do so. Once reserved, the painting will remain on display at the fair before being carefully shipped to you afterwards.
