Miyajima's Floating Torii Gate ***SOLD***

£335.00
sold out

Miyajima's Floating Torii Gate – Original (FRAMED) - (2025)

Materials: Oil on wood

Dimensions: 12 × 12 inches (30 × 30 cm). Approx. 34 × 34 cm including frame.

A serene yet striking study of Japan’s most iconic landmark. This piece captures the Great Torii of Itsukushima Shrine— known worldwide as the “Floating Gate” of Miyajima. Painted with luminous colour and expressive brushwork, it balances stillness with movement: the water shimmers, the horizon breathes, and the bold silhouette of the gate holds it all in place. A modern take on a timeless view.

Framed: Matt black wooden tray frame (see mock-up). The frame’s on order from Jackson’s Art and takes around seven days to make, so your piece will be on its way to you in early November.
