This plein air oil sketch captures a slice of urban green space from Manchester’s Castlefield Viaduct — a suspended garden woven inspired by the highline in New York. Painted on site in early summer, the piece looks out through a rusted trellis towards the tower blocks in the distance, with wild planting and soft afternoon light bringing a quiet sense of contrast and calm.
